KlampLast updated 16. august 2026
These terms apply when you use Klamp. They are written to be read.
The important part: Klamp does not broker berths and does not guarantee that one is free. We show what sailors have told us themselves. The arrangement to lie somewhere is between you and the berth's owner — and ultimately the harbour's own rules.
Klamp is a tool where berth owners can mark their berth free and other sailors can see it. We are not a party to anything between you, we take no payment for berths, and we rent nothing out.
The statuses in Klamp are what sailors enter themselves. A berth can be occupied even when the app says free — plans change and people forget. Always check on arrival, and have a plan B.
We cannot be held responsible if a berth turns out to be occupied, unreachable or unsuitable for your boat.
Klamp shows depths, seamarks and a bearing towards your destination. It is not an official nautical chart and must not be your only basis for navigation. The bearing is a straight line — it takes no account of shallows, fairways or restricted areas. Safe navigation remains your responsibility.
Marking your own berth free is free and will stay free. Klamp+ is a subscription with extra features. Purchases go through the App Store, and you cancel in your App Store settings. The period you have paid for runs to its end.
Karma and klamper are recognition between sailors. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought or sold, and we may adjust them if they are abused.
What may go on Klamp. A berth photo must show a harbour, a pontoon, a berth, a boat or boat equipment — or inshore water where a boat can lie. A profile picture may well be a portrait. Either way: no nudity, violence or sexual content, no hate symbols, no children as the main subject, no screenshots, memes or documents, no phone numbers, e-mail addresses, web addresses or advertising text — and no photos where strangers are the subject. Only photos you took yourself or have the right to use.
Every single photo is checked automatically by an AI BEFORE it becomes visible to anyone else. We use a language model from Anthropic to assess the photo against the rules above. The decision is taken by the machine alone — there is no human review before a photo is rejected. If it is rejected you are given the reason straight away, and the photo is never shown to others. If the check cannot be carried out, the photo stays put without being shown — we never display a photo no one has looked at.
Free text is not filtered in advance. Boat names, berth names, notes, greetings and messages are only checked for length as they are written. We read them first if someone reports them.
You can report and block. Reports go into a queue that a human reviews. We confirm that we have received your report, and you hear from us again once it has been decided, with a short reason. The person you report is never told it was you.
If you disagree with a decision — a rejected photo, removed content or a closed account? If you disagree with the decision, write to [email protected] and a human will look at it again. You may also bring the matter before a court or complain to the Danish Digital Services Coordinator (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen, digst.dk).
Consequences. We may remove content and limit or close an account used to cheat others, to enter misleading information, to upload inappropriate photos, or to harass other sailors. We do not do it lightly, and we say why.
If we change anything significant here, we say so in the app or by e-mail before the change takes effect, so you have time to read it. The date at the top shows when the text was last changed.
Klamp is provided as it is. We cannot guarantee the service is always available or free of faults. Our liability is limited to what the law allows and does not cover indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.
You can delete your account at any time in the app. Remember that the QR code on your sign cannot be recreated.
Danish law applies. If you are a consumer, you may always bring proceedings in your own place of residence.
