About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Capitainerie du Pandop is the harbour office for Marina de Pandop and its adjoining dry storage yard ("port à sec") in Koumac, in North Province on New Caledonia's west coast. The dry storage area currently holds around a dozen boats.
Koumac is one of six officially recognised ports of entry in New Caledonia for pleasure craft arriving from abroad. On entering Caledonian waters the yellow Q flag must be flown, and a customs clearance must be completed; customs, biosecurity (SIVAP) and border police documents should be downloaded in advance. After completing formalities, a representative of the boat must travel on to Nouméa within 48 hours to present passports to the border police, while the nearest customs office is located in Koné.
