About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Portul Turistic de Agrement Călărași is a newly built marina at the city of Călărași, located on the Borcea branch of the Danube at the Chiciu site. The marina was developed under the state-funded project "Tourism development of the Borcea Branch – Călărași", costing around 87 million lei, and is designed for up to 250 boats.
The marina has floating pontoons where berths are fitted with railings and individually metered water and electricity connections. At Chiciu there is also a modernised slipway used for launching and hauling out recreational boats in the area.
Besides the moorings themselves, the complex includes a boat repair workshop, administrative and commercial premises, and a relaxation area. A pavilion for exhibitions, conferences and meetings has also been built.
The marina forms part of the European tourism project "Mystical and Green Danube" and, according to the responsible authorities, will host Romania's first information point on this transnational Danube route. Come and discover one of the Danube's newest marinas right in the heart of Călărași.
