About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Ar-Nav is a freshwater marina at Bocca di Magra, where the Magra river meets the sea, named after founders Carlo and Battista who in the 1970s discovered this natural, current-free inlet suited for a marina. The marina covers 28,000 sqm, of which 10,400 sqm is water, and can accommodate 80 boats up to 30 metres. The basin has a uniform depth of 3.5-4 metres and a maximum width of 70 metres.
Boats moor at piers A and B, designed for vessels from 8 to 35 metres, with water and electricity columns and wifi available on the docks. The marina operates a 100-ton travel lift for hauling and launching boats, making it the only facility downstream of the bridge over the Magra river with this capacity.
Ashore you'll find a restaurant with sea views surrounded by a garden, as well as a bar/relaxation area with a large veranda and green space. Laundry service and provisioning for boats are also available, and the entire area is fenced and monitored around the clock.
The marina lies by Fiumaretta, part of Ameglia, with a sandy beach and good conditions for sailing and windsurfing thanks to steady winds. Nearby you'll also find Portovenere, Cinque Terre and Portofino. Moor at pier A or B, enjoy the view from the restaurant, and explore the coast from this peaceful river marina.
