Associazione sportiva dilettantistica Punta Barene - Staranzano

Punta Barene is a non-profit sailing club marina (ASD – Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica) at the mouth of the Isonzo river/Canale Quarantia in Staranzano, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. The marina sits in the scenic Punta Barene area, close to the Riserva naturale Foce Isonzo nature reserve, and is the first and only proper marina in the municipality of Staranzano.

The basin was built as a rectangular dock (nicknamed the "vasca") with a total water surface of about 7,280 square metres. The longest side facing the sea consists of a roughly 140-metre long, 4-metre wide breakwater, linked by a floating pontoon along the shore. A central 108-metre pontoon allows boats to moor on both sides, with further berths along the seaward quay and the adjacent area. The marina is run by the local sailing and fishing association, which has been allocated a significant number of boat berths by the municipal and regional authorities.

The facility offers shore power for boats via power columns on the pontoons, as well as a water system supplying the berths. A fenced parking area is also available in front of the marina basin for those arriving by car or boat.

The marina lies right next to the scenic Riserva naturale regionale della Foce dell'Isonzo, one of the coast's most visited nature areas, with walking paths, native flora and rich birdlife.
