About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Auderød Havn is a small nature harbour at the very tip of Arrenæs on Lake Arresø, close to Frederiksværk and Auderød Skov (forest). The harbour is a former military harbour that the association Naturcenter Auderød Havn, together with the Danish Nature Agency for North Zealand, has renovated so it is now used by small sailboats, dinghies, rowers and canoe/kayak paddlers. Note that motor boating by private individuals is not permitted on Lake Arresø.
The harbour has a slipway where you can launch trailer-sailed boats by prior arrangement with the association. At the harbour you'll find toilets and access to drinking water during the summer half-year, typically from Easter to the autumn school holiday, while facilities are closed in winter and the toilet is closed at night. At the shelter site there are also bonfire and barbecue facilities, though you need to bring your own charcoal.
The surroundings invite you to linger a little longer: there is a shelter with views over Lake Arresø, and you're close to the Kongernes Nordsjælland nature reserve with bird towers where you can spot everything from kingfishers to ospreys. You can also take a trip on the tour boat MS Frederikke or rent a canoe to explore the lake's flora and fauna. Make your way to Auderød Havn and experience Arresø's unique nature from the water.
