About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Aussenhafen Oldersum is the tide-dependent outer harbour of Yacht-Club Unterems e.V., situated directly on the River Ems amid the East Frisian canal landscape. The floating pontoon marina with finger berths offers around 40 berths for sailing and motor boats up to 12 metres in length, well suited to boats seeking direct access to the North Sea seaway.
Guest sailors are always welcome. The pontoons have shore power and water connections, and a mast-stepping device is available. Sanitary facilities (toilets and showers) are located in the clubhouse, 500 metres from the outer harbour. Guests can register at the information box by the harbour or with the club's deputy chairman.
At the adjoining inner harbour on the Ems side canal, 500 metres away, there is also a slipway and a barbecue area.
The town of Oldersum lies just a few hundred metres from the harbour and offers shops, a post office, a petrol station, a doctor's surgery and cash machines. Berth at the outer harbour's pontoon and take the short walk into Oldersum for shopping or a visit to the clubhouse.
