About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Jachthaven Drijfveer is centrally located in the watersports village of Akkrum in Friesland, serving as both a home marina and a guest marina for sailing and motor boats as well as dinghies. The marina offers permanent berths from 6 to 12 metres, with longer berths available for skûtsjes and tjalks, plus winter storage for 250 boats.
As a visiting sailor you're welcome for a night, a weekend, or a whole summer holiday, and from your berth you can reach both the Sneekermeer and Pikmeer within half an hour. The marina hands out free sailing route maps at the reception.
Every pontoon has power and water points along with safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and life rings. Free wifi covers the whole site, toilets and showers are free in two heated sanitary buildings, there's an on-site launderette with dryer, and disposal points for grey water and chemical toilets. A mast crane can lift masts up to 14 metres, and a slipway is available for launching. The playground sits near the De Koken café terrace and the sanitary buildings, and there's free parking plus luggage trolleys at reception.
Akkrum's cosy centre is within walking distance, with a supermarket, restaurants and shops, and the train station gets you to Leeuwarden or Heerenveen in a quarter of an hour. Tie up at the berths in Akkrum and take the short walk into the high street for an ice cream or a bite to eat on the De Koken terrace.
