About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Båtforeningen Pluggen is a fairly small marina in Horten's inner harbour, with room for around 180 boats from 8 to 40 feet across four piers. The boats mostly lie north-south, though alongside east-west on pier four, where the largest boats are berthed. The marina is well sheltered from southerly winds, while a new breakwater provides shelter from seas coming from the north; boats from about 26 feet can often sail through the canal in Horten, saving time on a southward course.
This is a members' marina with no guest berths or guest fees stated.
All piers have electricity and water included in the annual fee. The marina has two waste containers – one for hazardous waste and one for general waste – which require a system key issued by the harbourmaster. There is a small crane able to lift up to 3200 kg, operated manually, preferably by two people. In the south-east of the marina there is an area used for winter boat storage and as summer parking for members; electricity and water are also available there.
The marina is located on Strandpromenaden in Horten, close to Horten's inner harbour.
