About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Marina di Balestrate is a marina in the town of Balestrate in the province of Palermo, Sicily, situated in the Gulf of Castellammare, halfway between Palermo and Trapani. The marina is part of the Marinedi network and currently has 147 berths spread across floating pontoons, able to accommodate boats up to 40 metres in length.
The basin is protected by a 445-metre outer breakwater and a 260-metre inner breakwater, and the enclosed water area covers 16,700 square metres with depths of up to six metres. The marina monitors VHF channel 10 and maintains contact with the local port authority.
At the berths you can supply your boat with fresh water and shore power, and there are toilets and showers as well as wastewater treatment and bilge pumping. The marina offers wifi, a self-service laundry and round-the-clock CCTV surveillance, along with a slipway for launching and hauling out, a mast crane and a chandlery for technical assistance. A fuel station with Camlok fitting is available, and ashore you'll find a minimarket, a bar, an ice-cream shop, and bike and scooter rental.
The town of Balestrate sits beside a long stretch of golden beach, and nearby you'll find both Balestrate's own beach and Calatubo Beach. From here it's a short trip to attractions such as Segesta, Erice and Scopello, with the Egadi Islands also within reach. Berth at Marina di Balestrate and use it as a base to explore Sicily's west coast, its beaches and its culinary traditions.
