About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026

Saint-Fraimbault's "base de loisirs" is a small 3-hectare lake at the heart of the flower-filled village of Saint-Fraimbault in Orne, Normandy. The lake is set up as a leisure area for the whole family rather than a true marina, offering activities such as fishing, pedal boats and rowing boats.

Around the lake you'll find toilets open all year round, plus two large parking areas at the main entrances. There is a children's playground, mini golf, picnic tables and a barbecue area in the woods next to the lake. In summer (July-August) there is a guinguette with waterside dining, and a refreshment stand selling crêpes, ice cream and local drinks such as cider and perry.

The village of Saint-Fraimbault is known for its floral displays and has repeatedly been recognised for its flower planting since 1965, holding the national "four flowers" award in the Village Fleuri scheme. The village also carries the "Accueil Vélos" (cyclists welcome) label. Right next to the lake you'll find a campsite as well as a motorhome area with 10 pitches.

If you're passing through by bike or motorhome, the lake at Saint-Fraimbault is a peaceful spot to stop and experience one of Normandy's most celebrated flower villages.
