About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Port de Chanteloube is a public harbour in the scenic Baie de Chanteloube within the municipality of Chorges, on the shore of Lac de Serre-Ponçon in the Hautes-Alpes. The harbour sits in a sheltered bay and welcomes both sailing and motor boats, offering pontoon berths as well as mooring buoys in a more natural part of the lake.
The harbour has 39 pontoon berths and 25 moorings, and it is open all year round. Note that the port itself has no slipway - boats should be launched at the Baie Saint-Michel slipway and sailed on to Chanteloube. There is a beach for landing, and berths can be rented by the season, month, fortnight or week.
The pontoon berths are fitted with electricity points. On arrival at Chanteloube you will also find a snack bar where you can grab a bite or a drink.
Nearby lies the shaded Trémouilles beach, known for its calm, unspoilt character with no water-sports activity taking place there. From here you get a view of the iconic Chanteloube viaduct. There is also a sailing club/school on site, and in summer a free shuttle service runs, organised by the Commune de Chorges and the Communauté de Communes de Serre-Ponçon. Head to Chanteloube for a peaceful harbour stop with viaduct views and a refreshment at the snack bar.
