About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 27 September 2026Bassholmen guest harbour lies on the northern side of the idyllic island of Bassholmen, in the midst of the beautiful passage of Nordströmmarna in Bohuslän, between Bokenäset, Orust and Lysekil. The entire island is a nature reserve, known for its unique variation of Bohuslän's nature.
The harbour has basic amenities and space for around 35-40 boats. Depth in the harbour is about 3 metres. Guest berths cannot be pre-booked and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with prices from 250 SEK per night.
Toilets and showers are available at the harbour. There is also a sauna with a private bathing jetty that can be rented. Grill spots can be found on the island.
Once ashore, you can leisurely stroll through the nature reserve's countryside, accompanied by playful calves and grazing cows on the shore meadows. Visit the Traditional Boats Museum and the cultural treasure of Allmogebåtar, and every year Bassholmendagen (Bassholmen Day) is celebrated here with activities in the harbour where the fine wooden boats hoist their cotton sails. Tie up at Bassholmen and experience one of Bohuslän's coziest guest harbours.
