About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 27 September 2026Bassin à flot is a city-centre marina in the heart of Lorient in Morbihan, Brittany. The harbour consists of an avant-port and the bassin à flot itself, together offering berths for up to 370 boats on pontoons. The first marina on the site was inaugurated in 1968, and it sits right in the middle of town, within easy reach of everything.
You can call the marina on VHF channel 9. There are 50 guest berths reserved for visiting boats. Close by there is also a 9,000 m² haul-out area where 60 to 70 boats can be lifted out simultaneously for maintenance and repairs.
The marina offers fuelling (avitaillement) and waste disposal for visiting boats. There is also a boatyard/haul-out area attached to the marina where boats can be lifted for servicing.
As a visiting sailor you berth right in the heart of Lorient, with plenty of shops, restaurants and pleasant waterside promenades within walking distance. Just a short walk from the pontoons you'll also find the Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly, a popular sailing museum. Tie up in Bassin à flot and discover Lorient's city centre from the water.
