About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Bassin Morny is the historic harbour basin of Deauville, named after the town's founder Duke de Morny, and together with the Bassin des Yachts forms the municipal port in Normandy. The basin lies centrally, just a few hundred metres from the town centre and directly opposite the railway station, and has in recent years had its facilities renovated with new pontoons, new moorings and water and electricity terminals.
The harbour is located just 300 metres from Place Morny. Around 400 boats are moored in the basins year-round, while there is room for 60 visiting boats at the quay.
On the pontoons you'll find water and shore power, and the harbour offers wifi as well as laundry facilities in the sanitary buildings. For larger repairs and haul-out there is a launching ramp, an 8-ton crane and a 38-ton lift, plus a careening area for hull maintenance.
Walk from the harbour and you're quickly in the centre of Deauville, with the railway station right across the water. Nearby you'll find the Deauville Yacht Club and its sailing school, and the district around Presqu'île de la Touques is being transformed into a 14-hectare area with pedestrian and cycle paths along the quays. Moor in the historic Bassin Morny and step straight into Deauville's lively town centre.
