About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Bataviahaven is a modern marina for passing vessels and events on the west side of Lelystad along the Oostvaardersdiep, centrally located in the Netherlands at the crossroads of the Markermeer and IJsselmeer. The harbor offers spacious and secure mooring for all types of boats and ships, whether you arrive with a 22-foot jol or a 135-meter river cruise ship, and has regularly been voted the best charter harbor in the Netherlands.
As a visiting sailor you'll usually have the choice between a low or high dock, and on quiet days you are free to pick your own spot, while the harbor master assigns a berth during busy periods. Outside the sailing season, the marina office is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to noon, and is closed on weekends and public holidays.
The marina provides electricity and water connections on the docks, modern and clean toilet and shower facilities, plus a washing machine and dryer. There is also free wifi, a waste container, pump-out for holding tanks, and a slipway. Right next to the harbor office is a shop selling freshly baked rolls and a few groceries, and as a visitor you can borrow one of the marina's bicycles to explore the area. The harbor also features a barbecue island for gathering outdoors.
Within walking distance of the docks you'll find restaurants with terraces overlooking the harbor.
