About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 27 September 2026Bielawski Klub Żeglarski "Wielka Sowa" is a sailing club based at Jezioro Bielawskie (Lake Bielawa) in south-western Poland, at the foot of the Sowie Mountains. The club is an association registered in 2006, and its members engage in both recreational and racing sailing, including family regattas held on the lake. The lake itself is an artificial reservoir built in 1973 as a technological water supply for a textile factory, and after the factory's closure in the 1990s it was turned into a popular recreational destination.
Within walking distance you'll find a guarded sandy beach with lifeguards in summer, a swimming zone divided into areas for swimmers and non-swimmers, and a pier that — uniquely in the region — leads out to an artificial island in the middle of the lake. On the island you can relax on the grass, use the barbecue spots, or enjoy views of the Sowie Mountains from the pier. The area also offers a playground, outdoor gym equipment, sports courts, and kayak and water-bike rentals.
