About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 27 September 2026The Blankeneser Segel-Club (BSC) is a historic sailing club directly on the river Elbe in the Blankenese district of Hamburg, founded in 1898. The club's small harbour lies right below the picturesque Treppenviertel and is mostly used by the traditional Elbe motorboats known as "Tuckerboote" as well as training boats.
In the middle of the harbour (Jollenhafen) sits the club's floating clubhouse – a pontoon housing a restaurant, meeting rooms, sanitary facilities and storage rooms. The recently refurbished restaurant on the pontoon deck offers a relaxed menu with cold draught beer, coffee and cake, ice cream, snacks such as currywurst and Hamburg classics like roast beef with fried potatoes, and it is open every day of the week from 12:00 to 22:00. From the sun deck and outdoor seating you get a lovely view over the Elbe.
The harbour lies directly beneath Blankenese's famous Treppenviertel with its steep staircases and old captains' houses, putting one of Hamburg's most photographed neighbourhoods within walking distance.
