About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 27 September 2026Bodensee-Yacht-Club Überlingen (BYCÜ) is a sailing club marina located in the very south of Germany, in the northwestern part of Lake Constance, on the so-called Ueberlinger See. The club is one of the three oldest sailing clubs on Lake Constance and the oldest sailing sports association in Baden-Württemberg, with around 700 members. The marina has 120 berths.
The approach is on a course of 30°, and at night the entrance is lit red-green with three white lights above the red lighting. The water depth in the middle of the harbour entrance is 1.50 m. The club has several guest berths for sailboats, and guest sailors are welcome. During regattas, however, the marina is sometimes closed to guests due to overcrowding. The maximum length of stay is 3 nights, and the guest fee is paid to the harbourmaster or placed in the harbourmaster's mailbox.
Facilities include showers, toilets and porta-potti disposal, all included in the guest fee. The club also has its own crane (4 tonnes, members only) and a slipway that can be used free of charge. The clubhouse restaurant serves a mix of hearty German cuisine and Mediterranean dishes, with classics such as Cordon Bleu and meatballs alongside fresh fish and grilled squid.
From the marina it is a short walk to Überlingen's historic old town with attractive shopping and the Saturday farmers' market at Landungsplatz.
