About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Boerenjachthaven Van der Geest is a farm marina set amid the polder landscape near Warmond, with a direct waterway to the Kagerplassen. The marina opened in its current form in April 2013 following a renovation, after 50 years during which boats had been moored along the quay next to the family's dairy farm. The marina offers 200 permanent berths of various widths and lengths with finger jetties, and room for a small number of guest boats too.
Access is directly from the Ringsloot, and the very spacious waterway behind the mooring poles makes manoeuvring into a berth easy. Maximum boat length is 13.5 metres with a beam of 4.5 metres, and maximum draft is around 1.25 metres.
The docks are fitted with electricity points and water taps. The larger berths have a fixed power connection, while most smaller berths have limited shore power available via a coin-operated meter. The marina also has a very spacious car park, and the entire site is secured with an electric fence. Boat owners are free to carry out their own maintenance on site.
The marina is uniquely situated in the polder landscape, where in spring you can spot meadow birds from the historic Hemmeerpolder, drained back in the 16th century, and enjoy a chorus of frogs from the bank. From the car park and the moorings you get a wonderful view over the picturesque polder scenery. Moor up here and take in the peaceful, rural setting close to the Kagerplassen.
