Bootsclub Marienbrücke e.V. is a boat club on the small Wümme river, close to the Stadtwald, offering storage for canoes, kayaks and motorboats up to 6 metres, both in a hall and on the water.

The lock at Dammsiel operates Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am-8pm (closed Mondays, lunch break 1-2pm), while the Kuhsiel lock is currently closed. From the club you can head towards Kuhsiel or Dammsiel, through the Torkanal and Maschinenfleet onward to the Lesum and Weser rivers.

The club runs its own workshop where the carpenters take on small jobs and furniture work. The freshly renovated WERKRAUM, an 80 sqm room available for members to rent, has its own guest WC, a kitchenette with dishwasher and tableware for 20 people, a screen with USB connection for presentations, plus a bottle fridge and Bluetooth speaker.

The surroundings include the Stadtwald right nearby, ideal for walks and relaxing on the green grounds around the boathouse. Bring your canoe or kayak here and set off exploring the waterways towards the Lesum and Weser.
