About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Bootshafen Mainkur is a marina located between the towns of Frankfurt/Fechenheim and Mainfähre Rumpenheim, at Main river kilometre 46.8 to 47.8 in Maintal. The marina occupies the former Mainkur lock, built between 1913 and 1920, which was converted into a boat harbour in the early 1980s; the lock chamber and the adjoining Main island belong to the marina. Around 100 boats of 5 to 15 metres have their permanent home here.
Visiting boaters are asked to contact the harbourmaster on arrival, who will assign a suitable berth.
Classic and historic vessels are especially welcome at Bootshafen Mainkur, including the historic half-saloon yacht Pierina from 1914, which has been based here since 2015 and can occasionally be seen on outings on the Main.
Moor in this historic lock and take in the charming atmosphere on the Main, home to both modern sailors and historic vessels like the Pierina.
