About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Bootsverleih Saalburg is located on the Bleilochstausee, Germany's largest reservoir at 28 km long, with numerous bays and bends, close to Saalburg's town centre.
The small marina has lockable jetties in a small bay right next to the rental station, where your boat lies safely. There is guest parking for boats, so you can leave your boat in the harbour's care when you arrive in Saalburg.
Car parking is located above the rental station on the grounds of the former school, and a public car park (for a fee) is right next door. Tools and materials for minor repairs are available on the jetty.
Between Saalburg and Saaldorf there are no places to stop for provisions directly on the shore, so pack food and drinks. Fast boaters can cover the Saalburg–Saaldorf–Harra route in a single day, the latter stretch only when water levels are sufficient. Moor at the lockable jetties in the bay and set out from there to explore the reservoir's many coves.
