About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Buitenjachthaven, also known as De Buitenhaven, is a small marina run by Watersportvereniging d'Alblasserwaerdt, located in the centre of Alblasserdam at "de Dam", with direct access to the river De Noord and onward to the Biesbosch. The marina offers 40 spacious berths.
To enter the harbour it is recommended to call the bridge keeper about 10 minutes before arrival, as the marina sits close to a bridge in the town centre.
Electricity, fresh water, showers and toilets are available at the berths. If you need fuel or boat supplies, these can be obtained from Jan Korteland on Polderstraat, just across the Dam. If you'd like to explore the town by bike, bicycles can be hired via Tourist Info Alblasserdam near the bridge.
Within walking distance of the marina you'll find shops, cafés and restaurants, and the nearby Cultureel Centrum Landvast houses a cinema and hosts regular music evenings. From here you can also walk or cycle further through the village towards Oud-Alblas and the famous windmills of Kinderdijk. Berth at Buitenjachthaven and enjoy Alblasserdam's cosy centre and beautiful surroundings on foot or by bike.
