About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Foleux is a river marina on the banks of the Vilaine, named after the hamlet of Folleux in the commune of Béganne, and the marina also extends into the communes of Nivillac and Péaule. It sits scenically in a bend of the river, some twenty kilometres upstream of the Arzal dam and not far from La Roche-Bernard. The marina holds more than 320 boats on pontoons and moorings and is now run by the Compagnie des Ports du Morbihan.
Arriving by river from Redon, you pass under the Pont de Cran bridge with an air draught of about 5.80 m, and sailing time after the Arzal lock is roughly two hours. The marina monitors VHF channel 9, and berths are equipped with water and electricity (220V/10A).
Onshore you'll find sanitary blocks with toilets and showers on both riverbanks, plus a washing machine and dryer. There are waste and recycling stations, free wifi, bike loan (electric bikes) and free slipways for launching. Two boatyards, one on each bank, offer lifting by crane or trailer along with chandlery and technical services, and parking is available near the marina.
Within walking distance you'll find a restaurant on the Béganne side as well as a café-restaurant, plus picnic tables along the quays. Footpaths also start from the marina area, leading out into the surrounding countryside. Tie up at Foleux and enjoy a peaceful river marina set amid the green countryside of the Morbihan.
