About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Centro Náutico de Rio Caldo is a municipal marina set in the heart of the Gerês valley on the Caniçada reservoir, in the municipality of Terras de Bouro. The current complex is the result of several construction phases completed in 1998, and the marina offers 153 berths.
The municipal service office (tesouraria) at the site is normally open Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and again from 2pm to 4:30pm.
On site you'll find a slipway for launching and hauling boats, a fuel station, garages and workshops, parking, and a café with an outdoor terrace.
Just nearby lies the gold-rated river beach Praia de Alqueirão, and from the marina you can take in views of the Santuário do S. Bento da Porta Aberta and the surrounding mountains of the Peneda-Gerês National Park - including a local sightseeing boat that cruises the lake's 689-hectare expanse of water. Tie up at Rio Caldo and take in the Gerês valley scenery from the water.
