About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Yachthafen Unterhochstätt is an inland marina on Lake Chiemsee, situated in the Chieming area near Grabenstätt. The harbour is enclosed by wooded spits of land and moles and is barely visible from the lake itself.
The entrance is narrow and bottleneck-like between sea marks and position lights, but leads into a wide harbour basin where boats can round up and lower sails in calm conditions. Following dredging works in 1974-1975, boats with a draft of 1.40-1.50 metres can enter without problems even at low water, and the harbour has proven robust during high water and ice conditions as well.
The sanitary building, built in 1999-2000, houses showers and toilets. Since 2001, shore power has been available at the berths as needed. The marina was awarded an environmental label in 2004 for its efforts.
Note that for the current season the harbour has reported being fully booked, with no wet or dry berths available for either electric or sailing boats.
