About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 30 September 2026

Club Náutico de Villajoyosa is a marina located in the small fishing harbour of Villajoyosa on the Costa Blanca, close to Alicante and just a few minutes from Benidorm. The club was founded in January 1967 and has for decades been a driving force behind sailing, sea kayaking and other water sports in the town, including the well-known Eurochallenge sea kayak event.

The marina has 330 berths with room for boats up to 20 metres in length. It monitors VHF channel 9, and the sounding shows 7 metres at the harbour entrance (bocana), while depths inside the basin vary down to around 2 metres. The marina has a waiting quay and round-the-clock watch service.

All berths have water and electricity on the pontoon. For boat maintenance there is a travelift/crane and repair workshops, plus a collection point for hazardous waste such as oil. Within the harbour area there is a fuel station, a slipway, public changing rooms with showers and toilets, and pump-out facilities for waste water. Ashore you'll find a free wifi zone, parking, a café-bar and restaurant, and a social lounge for members and guests.

Around the harbour lies Villajoyosa, a colourful town known as the birthplace of chocolate, with one of the region's clearest and cleanest bays right outside the quay. From here it's a short trip to Benidorm's beaches and nightlife. Tie up in a marina with a long sailing tradition and experience the colourful town and clear bay from the deck.
