About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 30 September 2026Club Nautique de la Baie de Somme is based at Digue Mercier in Le Crotoy, where the sailing club is closely tied to the town's tidal harbour in the middle of the vast Baie de Somme. The harbour is run by the municipality and holds around 100 small boats (under 9 metres, mainly lifting-keel types) on floating pontoons.
As a sailor, plan on the basin only being accessible roughly one and a half to two hours either side of high tide, with a berth depth of about 1.5 metres at high water on a coefficient 90 tide – the harbour dries out at low tide. A limited number of visitor berths are allocated depending on space available during the season.
Water and shore power (220V) are provided on the pontoons, and the harbour itself has toilets and showers. Fuel is available at a nearby filling station, and ice can be bought at the supermarket close by. A laundrette is located about one kilometre from the harbour, and the area is covered by CCTV.
A short walk from the pontoons brings you to the restaurant L'Auberge de la Marine and a supermarket within walking distance. The surrounding area also offers the unique natural setting of the Baie de Somme, with its tidal flats and rich birdlife. Come and berth in Le Crotoy to experience harbour life at the heart of one of France's most striking bays.
