About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 30 September 2026Cruise Ship Dock is the Aruba Ports Authority's cruise terminal in Oranjestad, the capital on the island's west coast. This is not a traditional yacht marina but a large commercial port with several berths, where cruise ships dock directly in front of the terminal buildings in the heart of the developed capital.
The port can handle several vessels at a time, and ships moor within walking distance of Oranjestad's shopping and dining district, only about a kilometre from downtown.
Inside the terminal building you'll find restrooms, and right outside the terminal is a large parking area with space for tour buses, taxis and car rental. SETAR also runs a kiosk at the terminal selling Wi-Fi cards and internet access. Right at the port facilities you'll also find a handful of local eateries and bars, so you can grab a bite or a drink shortly after stepping ashore.
Heading out from the terminal, you quickly reach Oranjestad's shopping streets with boutiques, museums and cafés, and a free trolley links the port with downtown. If you want to explore Aruba further, both beaches and the city centre are within easy reach of the dock.
