The marina was founded in 1917 and has been owned by the same family since 1937, now run by the third generation.
To reach the Bergse Plassen, boats must pass through the Berg en Broekse verlaat lock, which has a depth of only 92 cm, a width of 3.05 m and a length of about 15 m. The lake itself is relatively shallow at around 1.40 m, meaning larger yachts cannot enter.
The marina operates its own maintenance yard alongside the berths, offering boat and engine maintenance, hull washing, lifting up to 2 tonnes, polyester repairs and painting. It also has its own sail loft and runs boat sales, plus overnight stays at an attached B&B.
