About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 30 September 2026

Dresdner Segel-Verein, Pillnitzer Insel 1928 e.V. is a sailing club southeast of Dresden, in the district of Kleinzschachwitz right on the Elbe at river kilometre 43. The club's jetty facility lies sheltered in a side arm of the Elbe by Pillnitzer Insel, offering 18-20 fixed berths for members' boats.

Guest berths are available on prior notice, as free spaces are not always guaranteed. The club operates a watch system, so an attendant is present on site and at the jetty for guests. The jetty facility is dismantled each autumn at the end of the season and reassembled for the next.

At the jetty there are power and water connections. Boaters and canoeists travelling on the water can also pitch a tent on the club's large meadow, and there are storage spots on site for land-based boats.

Within walking distance you'll find a bakery (approx. 1.6 km), an Aral petrol station (approx. 2.8 km), the Fährstelle bus stop (approx. 700 m) and the Freystraße tram terminus (approx. 1.3 km). Closer by are the Radelbar beer garden (approx. 150 m), the Fährhaus Kleinzschachwitz beer garden and restaurant (approx. 600 m), the Elbe ferry to Schloss Pillnitz (approx. 600 m) and the Strandbad Wostra bathing beach (approx. 600 m). Register in good time as a guest sailor and enjoy the idyllic Oberelbe from the club's natural, riverside setting.
