About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Dypeklo is a guest marina run by the Djupeklo vel- og båtforening (residents' and boating association), located at Onsøy in Fredrikstad municipality, facing the outer Oslofjord.
The association provides guest berths for visiting boats. Mooring options include the tall concrete pier in the southeast, though this is not actually used for berthing since it is a popular bathing and recreation spot. Mooring at the jetty is by arrangement with the harbourmaster, and the breakwater ridge can be exposed to winds from the west and southwest, the prevailing summer wind directions. Mooring buoys sheltered from wind and weather are also available as an alternative to the breakwater; these were laid out with 1.5-tonne anchors in 2016. Maximum stay is generally two days unless otherwise agreed with the harbourmaster.
Within walking distance lies the well-known Djupeklo beach, featuring a sandy shore, bathing steps, a swimming raft, and tables and benches - a popular destination for families with children. A large car park is also available close to the beach, including designated disabled parking.
