The club is open to anyone interested in boating, but residents of the Fånäs villa area who are also members of the property owners' association have priority for available berths. The jetties are maintained by members on voluntary work days, usually held in connection with the annual meeting, and the pontoon sections are continuously renovated with new floats as needed. The attractive location close to central Bålsta and the sheltered jetties inside the bay have led to a constant waiting list for berths.
The jetties have shore power, and they are lit in the evenings and at night — upgrades the club has appreciated in recent years.
The area lies near the beach Kalmarsandsbadet, and Lasse Åbergs museum is located about 1.25 km northwest of the club. Bålsta railway station is around 2 km away.
