About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Fiskehamnen is part of Visby Gästhamn, the large guest harbour in the heart of the world heritage city of Visby on Gotland. The harbour is spread across several areas – the inner harbour, the northern breakwater and Fiskehamnen – with a total of 250 guest berths and a harbour depth of 3-6 metres, with mooring on buoy or alongside.
Around the berths you'll find quay spaces, reception, electricity, water and pump-out marked on the harbour's map. Check-in and payment are done online, no later than 30 minutes after mooring, and during high season (15 June-14 August) harbour staff normally meet arriving boats by dinghy. Outside high season you can choose a free berth yourself. The harbour is open year-round.
Facilities include access to toilets, showers and a laundry room via an access card included in the fee. There is also shore power, fresh water, fuel and the possibility to buy groceries, plus a restaurant in the harbour area.
From here it's a short walk into the medieval city centre, where the Ringwall encloses cobbled streets, church ruins and well-preserved historic buildings. You can visit Gotland's Fornsal museum with its unique picture stones from the Norse era, and the city buzzes with life year-round thanks to cosy cafés, restaurants and lively bars – especially during the famous Medieval Week in summer. Moor up in Fiskehamnen and step straight into history.
