About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026

Hundested Havn is a large combined fishing, ferry and yacht harbour on the north coast of Zealand. The harbour is divided into three sections: the northern and oldest basins are reserved for yachts and recreational fishermen, the middle basin with a quay is reserved for fishing, and to the south lies the modern freight harbour. The old fishing port has today been transformed into a lively culture and experience harbour.

The harbour is centrally located between fjord and sea and is a natural stop on a trip around North Zealand or heading towards Roskilde Fjord or Isefjord. Berths range in width from 2.5 to 5 metres.

At the harbour you'll find toilets and showers as well as a sailors' lounge. Fuel can be bunkered, delivered via tank facility and truck, and the harbour has cranes as well as workshops and yards suitable for servicing and maintaining vessels.

In the morning local fishermen land their catch, and afterwards the harbour comes alive with galleries, restaurants, a glassworks and a brewery. There's a playground close to the harbour, and a pleasant beach lies just north of the harbour area. The harbour also hosts a range of events throughout the year, including a craft market, sand sculpture festival and harbour festival. Moor in Hundested and experience the authentic mix of fishing life, culture and maritime atmosphere.
