About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Ekenabben is a former fishing harbour turned guest harbour at Djupasund on the west side of the island of Sturkö, just south of the Tjurkö bridge, in Karlskrona's archipelago in Blekinge. The harbour is fairly large, though few fishing boats remain, giving it a calm atmosphere.
Larger boats enter from the south, while smaller boats can pass under the Tjurkö bridge (bridge height 2.7 m) and reach the harbour from the north. Chart 821 NE applies. Harbour depth is 2-4 metres, and guest berths are assigned on arrival. Mooring is alongside or by anchor. At Djupasund there are wrecks from the 18th century, a popular diving site, with an open-air exhibition about the wrecks on the harbour pier.
The harbour has toilets and showers. RV/camper parking is available at the start of the harbour area.
Sturkö is connected to the mainland via Senoren and Möcklö islands, roughly 30 km by road from Karlskrona. The island is popular with cycling and driving tourists and has a campsite with a nice bathing spot on its south-eastern side. In summer there is a pleasant café in the old mill (Kvarnen), an archipelago bakery (open in summer and Saturdays year-round), and an ICA grocery store open all year. Bus connections run between Sturkö and Karlskrona, archipelago traffic with Wittus departs from Sandahamnen (2.5 km from the harbour), and a boat shuttle runs from Bredavik to Karlskrona year-round. Tie up at Ekenabben, dive the wrecks at Djupasund, and cycle to the old mill for coffee.
