About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Hanö Gästhamn is located on the small, car-free island of Hanö in Sölvesborg municipality in the Blekinge archipelago. The island is a nature reserve with hiking trails, a lighthouse and abundant wildlife.
The harbour depth is 2-4 metres, with approach charts 829 and 822, position around 56°00.6'N 14°50.45'E. There are 75 guest berths throughout the harbour, except at the ferry berth during daytime, and mooring is with fixed stern lines. Berths cannot be pre-booked, and guest fees are paid at the harbour office. The guest harbour is staffed from 1 April to 30 September, but stays open all year round.
A service building offers a sauna, showers, toilets and a washing machine, and holding-tank pump-out is available. Wifi is available in the harbour. In summer you'll find a restaurant, grocery shop and ice-cream kiosk in the harbour, though the shop and kiosk are cashless. Note that no petrol or diesel is sold in the harbour.
Step straight from the pontoon to Hanö Museum, located in the harbour, with exhibits on the island's nature, history and culture. From there, marked trails lead to the viewpoint at the lighthouse on the island's highest point, the rocky headland of Bönsäcken and the English cemetery from the Napoleonic Wars era. Swimming spots can be found both in the harbour itself and at a small beach to the north, and the island's resident fallow deer are often seen up close. From Hanö, the ferry continues to Nogersund on the mainland.
