About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Grashaven in Hoorn is a large marina on the Markermeer with more than 700 berths for permanent boat owners and visiting yachtsmen. The marina lies in a sheltered spot but has direct access to the Markermeer, and it's a short walk to Hoorn's historic town centre.
The guest berth fee is calculated per metre of boat length and includes electricity use; you can pay by card at the desk. The harbour office is open May-September, weekdays 8am-5pm and weekends 8am-8pm. Outside the marina grounds, near Oostereiland, there is a fuel barge (Atalante Watersport) where you can bunker diesel and water and pump out your holding tank; for a small fee you can also pump out at WSV Hoorn.
Within the marina you'll find good toilet and shower facilities, a laundry with a dryer, free wifi, a mast shed housing a chandlery and engine service, and a crane for boats up to 10 tonnes and 11.5 metres. There's an eco-station for chemical waste, containers for glass, paper and general waste, a children's playground, good power supply for boats and campervans, and ample parking.
The marina is close to Hoorn's old town centre with plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance, and the marina's own minimarket sells fresh bread rolls daily. Berth at Grashaven and walk into Hoorn's historic centre to explore.
