About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Grisslehamn Östra is a simple guest harbour by the fishing harbour on the eastern side of Grisslehamn in the Öregrund archipelago, Norrtälje Municipality, facing the Sea of Åland. The harbour is less developed and less visited than the one on the western side, but it is well positioned for boats arriving from the Sea of Åland, and it is rarely full. There is an additional guest harbour here for slightly larger boats, right next to the fishing harbour where the charming local fishing boats lie when they are not out at sea.
The entrance is straightforward according to the nautical chart, with depths between 1.5 and 4 metres. There is room for around 15 guest boats, which moor with a buoy against the dock. When the Eckerö ferry is arriving or departing, the harbour gets crowded, so it is best to wait a little until the ferry has docked or left.
On the dock there is electricity (6A), and a simple service building offers showers and toilets – though the shower comes at an extra charge. Fresh water is also available in the harbour.
In the harbour area you'll find a fish shop selling fresh fish from local professional fishermen along with other delicacies, and a restaurant specialising in fish soup. A short walk away there is also a grocery store, several restaurants, and a cosy sandy beach. Eckerö Linjen's ferry terminal to Åland is right nearby if you want to take a day trip and stock up on supplies.
