About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Gustavsfors guest harbour sits right by the lock in Gustavsfors, along the Dalsland Canal at the southern end of Lake Lelången, on the border between the provinces of Dalsland and Värmland. It is a small former mill village with roots in the ironworks founded in the 1740s, now sustained mainly by summer tourism.
The harbour has a water depth of 1.5-3 metres and offers a total of 45 guest berths right next to the lock. Six parking spaces are available for visitors at the harbour.
At the quay you will find showers, toilets, fresh water and shore power. The harbour also offers a crane, a boatyard, and a pump-out station for holding tanks, as well as a launching ramp for smaller boats.
It's just a short walk to the village's offerings: enjoy a good meal with a view of the water at Roynes Sjömagasin by the harbour, or treat yourself to ice cream in summer at Elvira's canal ice cream stand. The ICA Optimisten grocery store is only 100 metres away, and the small mill museum along with the Alcatraz activity centre—offering canoe, kayak, SUP and mountain bike rental—are within walking distance. Moor up by the lock in Gustavsfors and experience the peaceful nature along the Dalsland Canal.
