About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Hafen Barhöft lies at Germany's north-easternmost mainland point in Klausdorf, at the entrance to the Boddengewässer near Hiddensee. It is a small, versatile marina used by pilot boats, one or two fishing cutters year-round, a service vessel for the Baltic 1 offshore wind farm, and a permanent berth for the sea-rescue cruiser "Nis Randers".
Large vessels between 14 and 40 metres must register in advance so the marina can reserve a suitable berth; other boats report to the harbourmaster on arrival. The harbourmaster's office is open daily 7-11 and 16-19 (winter hours may vary). Shore power and fresh water are available at every berth.
The marina offers freshly renovated showers and toilets, plus a washing machine and dryer. There is a waste station with sorted recycling and a mobile pump-out unit for holding tanks; larger boats with their own pump can empty directly into the collection tank. The fuel station "Borbe Tank und Service" supplies petrol, diesel and gas oil year-round. A fixed crane lifts boats up to 6 tonnes (lifting from €75), and a slipway takes boats up to about 7.5 metres - the marina's wheel loader can assist with hauling out for a fee. Restaurant "Portofino" sits right by the harbour, and a snack stand sells fresh fish snacks and occasionally freshly smoked fish straight from the fishermen. There are barbecue areas and a playground for children close to the harbour, plus "Proviantkiste" for all the small essentials you might need.
