About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Hafen Garz is a small, idyllic marina in the Garz district of the Hanseatic town of Havelberg, beautifully located on the River Havel in the Elbe-Havel corner. The marina takes boats up to 13 metres in length and offers both permanent and guest berths, with free berths clearly marked.
On arrival you should register by phone, and payment is made on site at the harbour service or the restaurant. The marina offers a slipway, shore power and fresh water supply, as well as pump-out for waste water.
The marina also has showers and toilets. The newly renovated harbour restaurant "Zum Quappenwinkel" seats 25 guests and has a lovely summer terrace overlooking the marina - enjoy coffee and cake or a light snack here from May to September, Wednesday to Sunday from 1pm to 7pm.
The historic village of Garz, with its octagonal half-timbered church and protected four-sided farmsteads, lies right by the marina and invites exploration. Havelberg, with its cathedral, Haus der Flüsse and old town island, is nearby, and cycle routes such as the Elberadweg, Tour Brandenburg and Havelradweg run through the beautiful surrounding nature. Moor up in this peaceful marina and stroll into Garz to experience the village's special charm.
