Halden gjestehavn

Halden guest harbour lies right in the town centre, just below Fredriksten Fortress, within easy walking distance of shops, a bakery, a hotel and restaurants.

There is no advance booking of berths. The overnight harbour fee is paid on arrival at the payment machine outside the service house by the quay, and the receipt provides an access code for the service facility. Besides paid guest berths, the harbour offers several free berths for short day visits: 6 berths for small boats (2-2.5 m beam) at Kongens Brygge, furthest in on the right, signed for day visits/guest quay; 3 berths for larger boats (3-3.5 m beam) at Langbrygga, to the left of the fuel station, usable for up to 3 hours; and 1-2 berths in the river Tista outside Tista senter (note the bridge clearance of 3.0 m at mean water level). The free berths may not be used for overnight stays.

All quays have water and electricity outlets. The service house offers showers, toilets and a washing area plus a washing machine and tumble dryer, and the harbour has a pump-out station for boat sewage and a fuel berth. The harbour also offers transport to the Haldenkanalen.

Walk the short distance into Halden town, where you'll find shops, a bakery, a hotel and restaurants. Tie up at the guest quay in the heart of town and step ashore for ice cream, dinner or a stroll up to Fredriksten Fortress.
