About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Havens Oost is one of three harbours on Starteiland Sneekermeer, a large marina with more than 400 berths in the heart of the Frisian sailing waters. Depth in the harbours is about 1.90 m; deeper-draught yachts are best off choosing a berth via Kolmeersgat in the southern harbour or along the north and west sides of the island.
The 2026 guest berth rate is EUR 1.85 per metre per night, including shore power, environmental levy and VAT; non-residents of the municipality also pay a tourist tax of EUR 2.00 per person per night. Payment is made easily by scanning a QR code with the i-Marina app. The island is only reachable by ferry, and the harbour office is open on weekends from Friday to Sunday, 9-11am and 5.30-8.30pm, except during Sneekweek.
The harbours have shore power pedestals, drinking water taps, and a pump-out installation for wastewater in the southern harbour. Centrally located is a harbour building with extensive sanitary facilities, a shower room for wheelchair users and a family room, plus a laundry with washing machines (EUR 5) and dryers (EUR 4). The club operates its own slipway and boat crane near Paviljoenwei, free to use during set hours. On the mainland there is ample parking for cars, motorhomes and boat trailers.
Starteiland lies in the Pottengebied area, which offers bungalows, cabins and apartments as well as spacious campsites.
