About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Hesnæs Havn is located at the small fishing village of Hesnæs, known for its reed-thatched houses built after the storm surge of 1872. The marina is home to a small local fishing fleet and is used by many pleasure craft throughout the summer. In 2020, two of the older wooden jetties were replaced with floating pontoons, providing better space for permanent berths and activity in the harbour year-round.
The harbour's toilet building has been renovated with separate shower/toilet facilities for visiting sailors and an accessible toilet for other visitors. At the harbour's picnic area you'll find barbecue spots and a washing area. Motorhomes are directed to other spots within the harbour area to keep vehicle traffic away from the dining area. In 2021, Falsters Kyst bakery and café opened in one of the old net sheds, carefully modernised for food service.
Just 1 km south of the harbour lies the popular Pomlenakke Traktørsted, and right behind the harbour there are views over the Baltic Sea from the former sawmill site. Tie up at Hesnæs Havn, enjoy the barbecue area, and stop by the newly opened bakery and café on your way.
