About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Hjulbäcks båthamn is located at Hjulbäcks brygga in the village of Hjulbäck, part of Siljansnäs parish in Leksand municipality in Dalarna. The jetty lies on Österviken, a bay of Lake Siljan, and is maintained by the Hjulbäck road association together with a local boat club. It is considered the longest village jetty on Lake Siljan and was originally built in the second half of the 19th century using stone from the surrounding farmland. It has since been rebuilt several times, including in the 1960s when parts of it were given a concrete deck. Originally used mainly for utility traffic, the jetty is nowadays used mostly by tourists and pleasure boats.
