About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Horten Gjestehavn is centrally located in Horten on the Oslofjord and offers around 90 berths. The marina has repeatedly ranked among Norway's top 10 guest harbours thanks to its fine location and good facilities.
10 of the guest berths can be pre-booked via Dockspot and are marked with signs, while the rest are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. In the summer season an overnight stay from 20:00-08:00 costs from NOK 270 for boats under 30 feet, rising to NOK 620 for boats 41-75 feet; electricity costs an extra NOK 70 per day. Daytime stays are free, and payment is made at the machine next to the ladies' toilet in the middle of the red service building.
The newly renovated service building in the middle of the harbour has toilets, showers and washing machines - separate for men and women - plus additional toilets east of the restaurant. There is waste sorting at an underground facility between the guest harbour and the motorhome parking, a fuel station with diesel, a crane, and free wifi for guests. Along the quay you'll find the restaurants Redninga, Peppes Pizza and Roar i Bua, as well as Himalaya Tandori serving ice cream and Indian lunch dishes.
Sjøsiden shopping centre with the state liquor store is a stone's throw from the harbour, and Storgaten in the town centre offers cosy shops. The garden town of Horten surrounds the town centre with beautiful gardens - take a walk and let yourself be inspired.
