About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Maisaari is a recreational island owned by the City of Turku, located off Rymättylä, with a long history as a centre for old-time farmer sailing. The island has jetties where you can moor, and offers plenty of room for groups, conferences and school camps.
Maisaari is open from 7 April to 19 October 2026. In April, May, September and October the office and pizzeria are open 10:00-20:00, while in June, July and August they stay open at least 09:00-21:00 and longer if needed. If you plan to bring a motorhome or caravan, arrival must be confirmed well in advance by email due to the level difference between the jetty and the ferry ramp.
On the island you'll find a kiosk by the office where you can buy provisions, along with numerous grill shelters for outdoor cooking. There's a playground for children, and you can order food from the on-request restaurant, which prepares grilled dishes and other meals to your wishes, or enjoy a pizza from Maisaari's pizzeria.
Go ashore and explore the island further: there's a football and volleyball pitch, a disc golf course, plenty of yard games, nature trails and a sandy beach for swimming. The office also rents out board games, rowing boats, kayaks and SUP boards. Moor at the jetty and step ashore straight into a day full of activities for the whole family.
