Van Roeden Watersport is located on the island 'Gouden Bodem' in Heeg, right in the middle of the Frisian lake district between the Johan Friso canal (Jeltesloot) and the 't Var canal. The modern marina has around 160 berths for boats from 7 to 15 metres, with a minimum depth of just over 2 metres in the harbour, so you can sail straight out to the Frisian lakes or the IJsselmeer without any bridges or locks in the way.

The marina has a quiet, sheltered setting within walking distance of Heeg town centre, and access is secured by a barrier operated with a personal Sep-Key card (deposit €35). CCTV covers the whole site.

Every berth has its own electricity supply and a drinking water tap nearby, and berths over 10 metres have their own finger pontoon. The toilet building offers modern sanitary facilities, underfloor heating, spacious coin-free showers, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer, and is accessible around the clock via a keypad. There is a pump-out station for holding tanks and a disposal point for chemical toilets. The marina has its own diesel pump, a crane with a lifting capacity of up to 20 tonnes, and free WiFi for permanent berth holders. Ample parking is available on site, and boat trailers can be stored for a fee during the sailing season.
